The platform
As one of the pioneer teams of the Women's American Basketball Association (WABA), DC Cyclones have provided a platform for women to showcase their talent on the basketball court after their collegiate career. Our program has made a plethora of accomplishments. In previous years, we won the championship (perfect season), undefeated regular seasons, and established us as one of the top tier organization. More importantly, we have been a catalyst for women to showcase their talents, in such a manner, that overseas scouts have taken notice of our team. Players who have played for DC Cyclones were able to showcase their talents to play professionally in various countries (France, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Serbia, Turkey, etc.). As a nonprofit, we are proud to be the conduit for women to fulfill their dreams.

Mission Statement
As a foundation, we are committed to recognize and develop athletic programs for women and young ladies. Our coaching and commitment focuses on training our future leaders physically, personally, and professionally.
Agent of Change
Within the last several years, Women’s Major League Soccer, and WNBA have been on the front lines fighting for equal recognition equal to their male counterparts in sports. Equality for women is an on-going hurdle in society. There is an enormous gap not just in pay but programs and platforms developing women and girls sports. Our foundation is solely to provide athletic programs - through training and developing - for women and young ladies.
Foundational Focus
Provide programs that will develop and prepare women and girls athletes in a variety of sports - basketball, volleyball and tennis, etc. Programs will focus on skill development, strength and conditioning, and instruction. Including games, tournaments and showcases that highlight ladies to display their talent. In addition, our programs will expand their education with mentors and opportunities for career mapping toward professional opportunities.
Partners and Sponsors
We are looking to partner with local schools in Washington, D.C. as well as nearby Prince George’s County. Neighboring businesses would provide support and resources to assist with the development of our of sports with a focus on women sports. With the support of various entities, we can make a tremendous impact.
